Dyson talks about innovation

You know that vacuum cleaner you wish you had, The Dyson... and the Air Blade hand dryer thing you often find in cool airports, well this is the design genius behind those and other inventions.

In this fascinating interview with James Dyson, he shares some insights around his innovation process.

He's an artist first and from that starting place begins his invention process.  He talks about the value of failures, being excited when your ideas are rejected and he says he's a believer in "naivety"...  I got a sense from listening to him, he is a master of linking disparate ideas in meaningful ways. Regardless of the field you work in, there is a ton here to learn from and apply to your creative thinking practice.
