IDEO’s Tim Brown on Design Thinking
Posted on: August 3, 2012 | Individual Creativity
IDEO is often called one of the most innovative companies in the world. From revolutionizing the computer mouse to developing organizational cultures that support creativity and innovation, IDEO has made its mark on design and beyond. As you’re reading this you’re likely around products they designed and are not aware of it.
Currently, Tim Brown is the head of IDEO and often is asked to speak about creativity, serious play and design thinking. In the short clip below, Brown demystifies what design really is and how anyone in any discipline can benefit from Design Thinking practices when striving to solve challenges. Even if you’re not interested in design, I’d strongly suggest checking out his book Change By Design and the Design Thinking Tool at the bottom of this post in order to get better at creative problem solving.
